The “Highest Mountain” music video is an exquisite look of nature and the natural scenic canvases of landscapes and horizons, and the newest single by singer/songwriter Brad Byrd. Directed by Dylan Kussman, the video will evoke feelings of personal discovery and overcoming inner demons, much like the song.
Byrd is releasing an album of the same name in June, and will showcase themes of the alternative country artist reconnecting with his roots and recovering from a dark part in his life. Byrd has noted “Highest Mountain” to be his most powerful work to date, and with such a visually stunning video, the anticipation is high for its release.
With influences such as The Clash and Fleetwood Mac, Byrd has spent years refining his sound to reflect himself. PopMatters described Byrd as being “one of the most intriguing new independent artists I’ve had the pleasure to hear in ages.” You may have heard Byrd before, being that his music has been featured the shows New Girl, American Housewife, Ben & Kate, Happy Endings, and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Highest Mountain will be Byrd’s third release. Leading up to the June date of release, check out his first two LPs, “The Ever Changing Picture” and “Mental Photograph”. (And if you’re a New Girl fan like me, check out the episode Dress, in which Byrd’s song “It Just Goes On” was featured).
