Are there deserts in England? I wouldn’t know, but maybe Curse of Lono would. Curse of Lono was formed in London some time in 2015 and have since been making music that you’d expect to come out of the Palm Springs Desert. The sound that Curse of Lono brings forth is one that is described at indie-rotted alt-rock, but to me it sounds what the sun would if it were comprised of audio frequencies (that’s a good thing who doesn’t love the sun). But perhaps I’m getting ahead of myself; Curse of Lono is releasing their debut EP this October, along with a series of inter-connected videos to which the EP will accompany musically.
Directed by Alex Walker and Bart Sienkiewicz, these short films hope to “capture the mood of the record”, as lead singer Felix Bechtolsheimer puts it. Were all very eager to hear more from Curse of Lono and to see just what this film is all about! Keep an eye out for Curse of Lono this October 2016.
