Young and talented hip-hop/R&B artist Ramya J released her single “That’s A Fact” off her first EP “Imagine That” this week. At only thirteen years old, the Flint, Michigan-based singer has even launched her own record label RamyaJMusic with the help of family members. Now that’s some impressive entrepreneurship right there.
Ramya J, dubbed the Princess of Flint, has been performing across the country since the second grade, even in venues such as New York City’s Apollo Theater. She’s been gaining attention from a growing fanbase as well as from media megastars such as recording artist, producer and songwriter Jermaine Dupri (Jay-Z, Alicia Keyes, Nelly, Janet Jackson), RCA Records singer/songwriter Jazmine Sullivan, and actor and singer Jussie Smollett (Twentieth Century Fox Television star on the hit series “Empire”).
A radio and press campaign has launched in North America to promote the artist’s new single and EP. It’s speculated that she will to not only hit regional radio charts throughout the USA and Canada but to also appear as well on national radio airplay R&B/Hip-Hop charts. “That’s A Fact” will officially hit radio playlists during the week of July 31st, so keep an ear out for that! Not only that, but a music video for the track is currently in the works, featuring child star Tootie Raww. The song itself is “a fun filled hip-hop track about a girl who has her boy’s back and knows the genuine importance of being the Bonnie to his Clyde in the crazy little game of love.”
