Westward Makes “The Last Stand” In Their Newest Single From Upcoming Album

Westward released their debut album back in 2015 and are now back for their sophomore release!

The band hails from Salt Lake City and is made up of Andrew Marshall on guitar and vocals, Karl Grimm on bass and backup vocals, and Matt Morrison on drums.

They are gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated album, “The Empire of Deception”, which drops October 14th.

Westward describes their sound as “Cowboy Space Rock” and their fans compare them to legendary bands like Queen, Radiohead, Muse, and Rush. The first single, “The Land Stand”, was recently released and is getting rave reviews.

“The Last Stand” is a powerful and eerie rock ballad, fully equipped with hypnotizing vocals and a guitar solo. It is very similar to Muse’s, “Uprising”, which is a huge compliment. Listeners of the song have said the single is “flavored with a mixture of western trail music combined with futuristic motifs and underlying tones that scream modern and progressive rock. Every song takes listeners on a musical journey through space and time.”

The music video for “The Last Stand”, is set to release on September 15th, so mark it on your calendars now! If the single is any indication to their style, I predict the video will be completely entrancing.

While you’re waiting for the album to drop, be sure to listen to “The Last Stand”, here!
